The leader of the super boy group SB19, PABLO has named the World Wide Fund for Nature Philippines (WWF-PH) newest music ambassador. He will be the special guest of the annual switch-off event that will happen in Manila on March 23,2024.
WWF-PH declared that PABLO reflects the values of the Filipinos.
In the statement of the Earth Hour Philippines National Director Angela Consuelo Ibay, she said, “Pablo, for us, represents the passion and resilience of Filipinos, and we want these qualities to be front and center for the annual Earth Hour celebration, which will be the 16th anniversary in the Philippines.”
“As SB19’s songwriter, creative director, and CEO of their label, Pablo has masterfully infused his music with Filipino culture, flavor, and style. Earth Hour is a global grassroots movement for the environment and we celebrate it in our own unique Filipino way. Pablo is the perfect ambassador for Earth Hour,” Ibay added
The Annual Earth Hour Philippines is now on its 16th year and will be held in Kartilya ng Katipunan, Manila City. It was first celebrated in 2008 at the CCP Complex grounds. The global switching off of lights will happen from 8:30pm to 9:30pm Philippine Time.
Over 190 countries around the world have participated in the worldwide switch-off as a grassroots movement for nature. Millions of people worldwide participate every year in the event since the first Earth Hour in Australia in 2007, with the partnership of governments, businesses, and civil society groups.
